Competative rates of pay - 9.5 Hour Shifts £11.10 per hour. Shifts are 06:00 - 15:30 & 14:30 - 24:00, Monday to Friday.

Location

Purpose Statement

Receiving, storage and despatch of goods ensuring quality and efficiency, and the achievement of targets set.

Ensuring a high quality and efficient service maintained by the warehouse team

Assisting the warehouse manager in managing employees in all aspects of the warehouse process

Accountabilities

Maintain a sound understanding of the distribution process and how this impacts on the requirement for goods to be transported to, from and around the warehouse/yard

Receiving and despatching goods

Load and unload vehicles/containers using forklifts/pump trucks in line with company safe systems of work

Verify the condition of deliveries, ensuring you do not accept damaged goods

Identify, document and address discrepancies

Ensure that all goods are stacked and sorted in a safe and orderly manner

Make up orders ensuring correct products picked, correct quantity of product picked and correct clear labelling ready for distribution

Movement of goods around the warehouse/yard as required using forklifts/pump trucks

Ensure that all relevant documents are completed as per company standards

Maintain accurate records in relation to movement and storage of goods

Ensure that you meet deadlines to ensure the delivery of products to the clients in a timely manner

Respond to complaints and comments appropriately

Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times 

Assist Manager in managing and overseeing all aspects of stock management including but not limited to; supervise and ensure the appropriate storage of stock; supervise and address any stock discrepancies; stock control, including conducting regular stock checks and inventory procedures

Assist in the effective management and motivation of employees, including but not limited to; assist in the training and development of both new and existing employees and ensuring that all staff are aware of targets and these are achieved in the time scale set

Assist in coordinating the rota for staff to ensure appropriate cover

Assist the warehouse manager in implementing changes to improve operating procedures

Ensure compliance to standards in respect of all company requirements

Comply with all company policies, rules and procedures at all times

Undertake training, development and re-assessments as required to meet legislative or organisational requirements

Health & Safety

Report any accidents in the workplace immediately

Ensure correct Personal Protective Equipment is worn at all necessary times

Be familiar with and follow the company’s health and safety policies, guidelines and procedures at all times

Working Relationships

Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives

Effectively communicate with all staff to ensure safety and efficiency of the site between different areas of the business

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues

Qualifications

Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck Licence
